1. Information We CollectWe collect information you voluntarily provide when you register or use the App, including your name, email address, and climbing preferences. In addition, we collect data related to your climbing activities, including logs, images and videos you upload, and app usage data (e.g., screen views, feature interactions) collected via analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your InformationYour information is used to provide, maintain, and enhance the App's features. This includes tracking your climbing progress, personalizing your experience, communicating with you, and performing analytical assessments to improve our Services.
3. Data Storage and RetentionYour data—including images, videos, and activity logs—is stored securely on our servers via third-party services (e.g., Convex, Mux). We retain your data for as long as your account remains active or as required to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
4. Video Processing and StorageVideos you upload are processed and stored using third-party services such as Mux. This processing includes encoding to different formats for optimal playback and the creation of thumbnails. These services may collect technical data about your videos, such as duration, resolution, and format. All video content is subject to our Terms of Service regarding prohibited content.
5. Third-Party Service ProvidersWe may share your information with trusted third-party service providers to facilitate the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the App. These third parties are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and are restricted from using your data for any other purpose. For analytics purposes, we use PostHog, a product analytics tool that helps us understand app usage patterns. PostHog does not track users across other apps or websites and does not access device identifiers like IDFA. No third-party ad networks are used.
6. Data SecurityWe implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please note that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
7. International Data TransferYour information may be transferred to, stored, and processed on servers located in jurisdictions outside of your country of residence, including within the European Union. If services are hosted outside the EU, appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure an adequate level of data protection. By using the App, you consent to such transfers, even if the data protection standards in those jurisdictions differ from those in your own.
8. Your Rights and ChoicesYou have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Should you wish to exercise these rights or have any concerns about how your data is used, please contact us at info@klettra.com. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law. If you prefer not to be tracked for analytics purposes, you may contact us to opt out or request data deletion.
9. Wall StationsSome gyms provide a shared tablet and force sensor. Walk-up games use the names or emoji entered on that tablet. These game results stay on the tablet unless someone chooses to send a results link. Connecting your account to a wall station allows training measurements to be saved to your account.Sending a game results link saves the board, including the names and scores entered, for up to 30 days. Anyone with the link can view or delete the results. The email includes a separate link to delete the board. The recipient address is used to deliver the email through our processing systems and email provider; it is not included in the saved results board.
10. Force Training DataForce Training records pulls on a force sensor. For each set we store the summary numbers, a small curve for display, and the raw force samples the sensor produced, which are kept as a file so the numbers can be checked and recalculated later. This data is associated with the account it was recorded under, whether the set was performed on your own phone or at a gym's wall station. Deleting your account or your Force Training data removes your force history, recorded maximums, wall connections and raw recordings whose ownership can be verified. Some older raw recordings lack that verification and require review before deletion. Contact info@klettra.com for help with those recordings or other data requests.
11. Changes to This Privacy PolicyWe reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting within the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
12. Contact UsIf you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at info@klettra.com.
